IMPACT TB represented at 2023 UNION Conference

The 2023 Union World Conference on Lung Health took place in Paris from 15-18th November. As this was the first in-person Union event since the pandemic, it was a great opportunity for those work on the IMPACT TB project to see each other again and catch-up on what has been going on not just with their work but also the wider TB research landscape.

There were talks from the teams in both Nepal (Bhola Rai) and Vietnam (Huy Huynh). The talks focused on the evaluation of TB social protection measures in different settings. Dr Tom Wingfield of LSTM also presented on his work with BNMT studying the psycho-social consequences of TB among people diagnosed from ACF and PCF in Nepal.
