Birat-Nepal Medical Trust has received its first drones as part of a pilot project in collaboration with Stony Brook University and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. The Nepali Tuberculosis Centre aims to find an additional 20,000 cases by 2021 and these drones will be used for sputum transportation to help scale-up active TB case finding in Pyuthan district. The project has been funded by the Nick Simons Foundation.
