Birat Nepal Medical Trust celebrates 10 years!

Congratulations to our IMPACT TB partner, the Birat Nepal Medical Trust, on delivering 10 years of incredible health research programmes across Nepal. To help celebrate, the team were delighted to be joined by the UK ambassador, Nicola Politt; founding member, Rosemary Boere; and Trustee, Gillian Phulmaya; as well as colleagues from partners such as the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

After talks from staff and esteemed guests on the achievements of the team over the past 10 years, there was a poster session (pictured below) so that attendees could speak directly to individual project staff on their research areas. There was also a fascinating Tharu cultural dance performance (pictured below), which highlighted the work and priorities of BNMT through song. This demonstrated the changing ways organisations like BNMT communicate and engage with local communities.
