2023 UNION CONFERENCE ON LUNG HEALTH: PREVIEW

Posted on: October 05, 2023

The 2023 Union World Conference on Lung Health will take place in Paris from 15-18th November.

The conference theme, Transforming Evidence into Practice, explores the challenges facing global health research. Generating new evidence from research projects and presenting the results or publishing it in a journal is not enough. We need implementation. We need research converted into practice. We need to strive for evidence-based health policies and decisions.

There will be the following presentations from our teams in Nepal and Vietnam:
Luan Vo: High TB case detection yields of an intermediary agency for private sector engagement in Vietnam. (17th November at 3pm)
Rachel Forse: Differentiating social protection to address the costs of TB care in Vietnam. (17th November at 5pm)
Tom Wingfield: Psychosocial consequences of TB among people diagnosed through active versus passive case finding in Nepal: a longitudinal, prospective cohort study. (18th November at 10:20am)
Bhola Rai: Addressing the Social Determinants and Consequences of Tuberculosis in Nepal (ASCOT): results from a four-arm randomised-controlled pilot trial of socioeconomic support for TB-affected
households. (18th November at 11:15am)
