IMPACT TB training sessions take place in Vietnam

Posted on: July 15, 2017

Following the launch of the IMPACT TB project, two-day training sessions have taken place in the Binh Chanh, District 8 and Hoc Mon areas of Ho Chi Minh City. These training sessions aimed to give  participants a more detailed understanding about TB disease as well as improving active case finding and patient-centric care provision. Among the topics that were discussed were best practices in behaviour change communication and methods of conducting treatment adherence screening and referral.

Following the training, site coordinators have made 16 monitoring trips to commune health stations to assist with setting up the project. Further reinforcement sessions will be organised to ensure that the core activities are well-understood by the field workers. Monthly field visits will also take place in order to support progress.
